At WSR Recycling we believe it is important to operate with our stakeholders best interests at heart.

It is paramount that we give back to the community that has been so important in our growth as a company.

We encourage and support our employees in their work with local charities and charity fundraising and actively support a number of local community initiatives.

This is put into practice by our employees and owners in many different ways, and featured here are just a few of our most recent activities.

St Marie’s Vikings under 8s participate in the Widnes Junior Rugby League, and are coached by Phil Neeves. WSR Recycling have been shirt sponsors for the last two years.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital

Each year Alder Hey Hospital cares for over 270,000 children, young people and their families and leads research into children’s medicines, infection, inflammation and oncology.

WSR Recycling makes donations on behalf of our customers to Alder Hey every Christmas.

CSR plans for 2015

CSR plans for 2015

For 2015 we are liaising with a local education establishment to provide:

Mock interviews for Year 11 pupils during the week commencing 9th February 2015; Subject link activities with pupils studying Design & Technology on the theme of how this subject is used in the work place, to take place on 4th March 2015; Year 12 work experience 13-17th July 2015 in admin / sales department for students taking BTEC Business Studies and your environmental department for A Level Science students; School visits to the site to see the recycling process in operation.

We are also liaising with training providers to offer the facilities we have on site for local people to learn yard operations.
