WSR Hosts College Visit

WSR Hosts College Visit

On 13 April 2016, a group of A Level Geography students from Saints Peter & Paul College came to visit WSR. The objective of the visit was to help to give the students an insight into what happens on site, Robert Tinsley WSR’s Environmental & Quality Manager provided the students with a comprehensive presentation in WSR’s onsite Training Facility, followed by a tour of the site. The students were interested in waste management, the waste hierarchy, and sustainability and innovation as part of their studies. The visit helped provide the students with the practical/operational knowledge to compliment their theoretical/conceptual knowledge of the subject matter.

Thanks to Robert Tinsley, and staff at WSR. WSR were pleased to be able to assist the college as it is keen on working with its local schools and colleges in the local community. WSR would like to wish the students good luck with their studies and future career development.

Michelle Lloyd and Marie Carsley from WSR Recycling were delighted to recently take part in a careers day at St Peter and Paul Catholic College in Widnes on the 15th December 2015.

Michelle and Marie assisted with mock interviews and techniques to help Year 11 students get some experience of the recruitment process and to be prepared for the real thing when looking for employment.
